This was one of the first texts I had written for Medium. The idea came to me after visiting a series of big companies and Start-ups in Buenos Aires and San Francisco. I was amazed by how all these companies had achieved incredible success in creating very sophisticated control mechanisms based on optimism and the idea of freedom. I just felt that there should be a voice to defend the place of a more cynical and negativistic approach to the world in search of a more balanced viewpoint.
This is my defense on behalf of the negativistic cynicism.
